Expeditions

The 1991 Herts & Bucks Wing Himalayan expedition was one of the most ambitious ventures to be attempted by any cadet organisation at that time. After more than three years of planning and preparation, a fit and highly-motivated group flew to Kathmandu to spend a month trekking and climbing at altitudes up to 6000 metres

The Wing's next big expedition was to Canada in 2000. This time, the objective was to complete a journey down the Steel and White Rivers in Northern Ontario. Everything needed for travelling and camping was carried in open canoes, with portages of up to 2.5 kilometres to avoid waterfalls and obstructions

Now the group is actively planning the next trip, and looking for cadets and staff to take part
